According to United Kingdom lottery officials at Camelot, the highest ever EuroMillions Lottery jackpot worth more than £100 million (€113 million) was claimed on Wednesday. However, to the residents’ of the U.K. dismay, the winning ticket holder does not wish to be named yet.
The winner of the UK’s largest ever lottery ticket has been claimed and paid out, Camelot has announced.
After a Sunderland hoaxer claimed to be the winner of the £113 unclaimed EuroMillions jackpot last week, the Camelot lottery staff conducted an investigation to determine where the ticket was sold at. Their findings have revealed that the ticket was bought over-the-counter at a supermarket, newsagents or petrol station in the West Midlands city of Coventry. If no one comes forward this week, Camelot is prepared to make an announcement.
